ECE Seminar: Scaling Quantum Computers

Quantum computers promise efficient methods for solving a wide range of problems from cryptography to molecular design. The challenge is how do we bridge the gap between current prototype devices and future machines that will outperform classical computers. In this talk, I will describe our research on constructing scalable quantum computers with an emphasis on implementing quantum error correction.
