The NSF AI Institute for Edge Computing (Athena) presents the next in our seminar series by Jonathan Rinaldi, titled "Federated Learning Applications and Robustness for Military, Medical and Transportation Subsystems" on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 12-1pm EST via Zoom. Bio:
Jonathan Rinaldi received his bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and computer engineering from North Carolina A&T State University in May of 2022. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in electrical engineering at North Carolina A&T. Jonathan currently works as a research assistant with Athena team member, Dr. John Kelly, researching the robustness of Federated Learning (FL). His initial focus is FL applied in a military setting. Jonathan is originally from Suffolk, Virginia and currently resides in Greensboro, NC. Jonathan is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) as well as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Jonathan is also a member of the Iota Beta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America Inc. and has served as the chapter's President. In his free time Jonathan enjoys competitive gaming. He is a member of the EZ Royal Knights Digimon Team. Additionally, he is a founding member of the Allies of Rollbackia fighting game team. After receiving his master's degree, Jonathan intends to continue with his higher education and pursue his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering.
